Mediterranean Hydrogen (MedH2)

‘’ powering people’s life! ‘’

Mediterranean Hydrogen (MedH2) will become the first cross border regional project, connecting more than eight countries across Southeastern Europe , and bringing together international parties from Europe, US, and Middle East. The MedH2 project is unique in that it encompasses and connects the entire hydrogen chain (from production to filling stations) within a wide geographical region.

The MedH2 focuses on sectoral integration: the large-scale production of green hydrogen as a raw material for industry, the storage, transport and distribution of hydrogen and its application for energy supply for both industry and the built and in mobility.

The company will invest in a pilot project, the first in the Balkans, a research project through which it wants to find out the impact of injecting hydrogen into the natural gas transport systems. Large-scale hydrogen consumption will require a well-developed hydrogen transport infrastructure, based on the European Hydrogen Backbone, connecting hydrogen demand with supply. The MedH2 will be developed, into five (5) phases of development. The commercial date of operation is expected to be mid-2028.
